This blog is not a place where I will try to convince you how perfect life is. There are good and bad things, ups and downs. Recently, I have a feeling that I need a change in my life, I have been in my comfort zone for too long already. I am a person who needs to be constantly challenged and if I am not chalenged, I am not motivated to do more. I love learning new things, and if I am feeling not getting it, I need to do it myself. Yes! I need to focus on building this blog! I feel I have so many things to share with all of you!

27 is the time of your life when you can move mountains! Everything seems easy and possible! However, there also comes a time when you are feeling lost and you lose it. At moments like these, you don’t feel like moving those mountains.

Over the past 5 months, there have been lots of changes happening in my life and career. Generally, if you are following my blog, you will know that I am a person who is not afraid of changes. I know it is always challenging, but it also comes with something better in the end. Talking about me, I favor being responsible for my life and my future. What bothers me lately is the ambiguity when you have no idea of what is going to happen.

This is the reason why today I was trying to figure out ways to fight this. Ways of getting back my motivation and I would like to share them with you as well!

WHY DID I LOSE MY MOTIVATION?

1. SOMETIMES I FEEL THAT I DO NOT BELIEVE IN MYSELF ANYMORE
2. I AM AFRAID THAT MY PLAN WILL NOT WORK OUT
3. I AM AFRAID TO OPEN MYSELF UP TO OTHER PEOPLE
4. NO 1 ENEMY – PROOCRASTINATION AND LAZINESS

HOW AM I GOING TO DEAL WITH IT?

1. FIND THE REASONS WHAT PULL YOU DOWN

I have just mentioned all the reasons which pull me down above. I am happy to share it with you. Sometimes we feel that we are the only ones in this world to feel this way, but in fact, all of us have our ups and downs. You are not alone in this. Believe me, it is always easier when you are not alone and I want to let you know, that it happens for me as well.

2. RE-THINK YOUR GOALS

It is only you who can tell what your real goals in life are. For me it is this blog, I want to grow it and get better in writing. It is one of the hardest tasks for me currently. Try to think of the reasons you are doing what you do, think about your future. Think of your life in 15 years, how you would like it to look like? Would you want to travel the world, work remotely from anywhere you are? For every goal of yours, there is a way to make it happen. Always consider your daily routine and try to find a time that could be dedicated to something more productive. Maybe you are like me, watching too many “Friends” series? Maybe this could be replaced with book reading, learning something new in your life? I believe all of us have some spare time during the day where we are just wasting it.

3. CHANGE YOUR THINKING – IT REALLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Have you ever heard of stoicism? I like stoicism because it reminds us how unpredictable this world can be. There are several principles that you can learn and follow. One of them is learning to be strong with our emotions and how to control yourself. Finally, it sais that we cannot change the world around us but we can alter the way how we respond to it.

Furthermore, one of the best advice one can give to another is to start thinking more positively! As soon as you realize that many things are not possible to change, think of the ones that you CAN change! One of them is your thinking! Look at every one of them as a challenge and a way to become better. Do not fear to fail, do not fear other people and what they think of you.

4. PLAN YOUR DAY AND FOLLOW YOUR PLAN

I have a confession to make here. Following my plan is one of the biggest challenges for me. I am always failing to follow what I have planned before. Generally, I like planning, but as many of us, I usually fail in succeeding making them come true. I would suggest you to make your goals SMART. Think if you are really able to achieve all of them. Do not plan too many activities so you would not have to force yourself too much. You should not stress out yourself to finish them all.

5. DON’T BE AFRAID TO START SMALL

If you are thinking of becoming a manager in the future or managing your own big business do not expect everything to be easy and fast. Rome was not build in one day, right? Everything takes time and effort. Do not rush on it. Consistency is the key here, so plan and do not be afraid to start from small. All the adventures start from zero and we build them with our effort and love.

6. ONE TASK AT A TIME PLEASE

This is my opinion only, but I think that multitasking is one of the worst things you can do to yourself. I am not talking about going to the gym and listening to the audiobook about business matters. For me, it is focusing on a certain task, such as writing or analysis and getting distracted by some calls or e-mails. This is the most stressful thing. Whenever I am trying to do many things at a time I become stressed and distracted. I feel that this is decreasing the quality of my work and extend the time of doing it. As a result, if I have something important to do I always try to decrease my distractions – turn off the e-mails and phone.

7. STOP HAVING EXCUSES

Have you ever said to yourself that you are going to start doing something on this or the other day? Have you ever found any excuse not to do it after all? If yes, you are not alone, I do it as well! I always try to find out something else to do instead of doing what I have to do. For example, I usually have plenty of time to work on my projects after work hours, however I find myself not to do them with excuses of being tired and resting instead. Most of the time I am not tired at all, but I would better watch a movie instead of making something better to myself.

As of now, I am trying to go home, have some time for myself and later on go work on my projects. If I am tired, I am not forcing myself on something big. I would go to work on the article writing, researching on the topic I would like to write about, or picture editing. Trust me, even something small can become a big step towards something big in life.

8. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF

Never forget yourself! Sometimes I would spend hours while working and having no free time for myself. However, rest is important too! Never forget to treat yourself right – go to the gym, exercise, take a walk or try some nice food in town! It will take your stress away, help you to focus. No one wants to have a feeling of burnout. From now on, write not only your “to do” list but also a plan for your holidays or time off!  Do what makes you feel happy, the healthier and happier you are, the more energy you will have for reaching your goals!

9. KEEP LEARNING

We should never stop learning in our lives. Everything develops so rapidly and we must be able to adapt to everything that comes to us. Think about our lives just 20 years ago, no internet, no social media, all of it was so different than it is right now. Blogging is also life-long learning, believe me, you always have to try to be on the top of it. Never forget to spend some time reading, browsing and brainstorming new ideas for your business or career and you will get where you want.

10. NEVER COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS

One thing I learned during my short experience is that you can never compare yourself with other people. We are all different, with our speed, mindset, and plans. Also, there is a very bad impact on our lives done by social media where people share their lives, purchases, trips, and gifts. Whenever you see all of it happening to others and compare to yourself working non stop 24/7 you might feel miserable. Never trust these fake images, they do not reflect the real-life and are just a small part of it. Nobody will tell others about the bad things in life, we like to brag just about the good ones. This is one of the reasons for this post, I wanted to show you that it is not always perfect. Turn social media off and feel free!
